Malé International Airport

The majority of visitors to Maldives arrive by air at the Male' International Airport which is an island by itself that looks more like an aircraft carrier from air. Compared to other airports in the region, Male' International Airport offer relatively high standards of services and facilities. As many as 50 flights per week, including schedule and chartered flights from over 16 international airlines arrive from destinations around the world at this airport that is the only one in the world that boasts a runway which starts and ends in water. Seaplane transfers to many are also available from the airport.
